How effective is a Ruhens Purifier
We do know that RUHENS’ air purifiers can mitigate additional pathogens in the air where people are known to be at risk from being infected, by removing up to 99% of pollutants such as odours, viruses, allergies, mites, pollen, bacteria and dust particles.
The manner in which the particles are removed by the air purifier ultimately depends on the type that you choose, with versions offering UV Technology, HEPA filtration system to trap particles as air runs through them, while others may neutralise the particles in the air before filtering them, such as our negative ion emitting air purifiers, that seek to attract positive ion particles in the air so that they become neutralised.
In July 2020, 239 scientists from 32 Countries published an open letter addressed to the Global Health Community stating that the airborne transmission of viruses is a real risk, and that the constant cleaning of the air will, without doubt help manage the contamination in enclosed spaces.
An air purifier alone, whilst being extremely effective in providing a cleaner environment, is only part of the solution and will require other strategies to help get rid of the common viruses, which include washing your hands frequently with soap and hot water for at least 20 seconds, rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with hands. Cover coughs and sneezes.
