Ahead of lockdown restrictions being lifted the owners had already started looking for ways in which to make the restaurant a safe environment for both diners and staff.
“We chose to invest in an air purifier for peace of mind for both our staff and our customers. After lockdown and Covid 19 on the news, people were understandably very concerned about their health and in some cases, even nervous about eating inside restaurants again. We wanted to make our restaurant as safe as possible so that people felt comfortable eating out. We also wanted our staff to come in to work feeling safe and knowing that we took their health seriously and were looking out for them.”
After spending time researching endless options online, Riva reached out to Air Care Solutions for expert advice on what and how many air purifiers might be needed to effectively clean the air in their space.
“Air Care were able to answer all of our questions, really friendly and helpful and he helped us choose which purifier would be best for each part of the restaurant. For example, we have a smaller, private dining space upstairs which Elian worked out on the sizing of the room for, and that didn’t require as big as an air purifier as the main restaurant downstairs.
A huge bonus for us as management was also seeing the statistics on how air purifiers can reduce staff sickness. In hospitality, due to the confined spaces, if there is an illness going round it soon spreads like wildfire, but knowing that an air purifier can stop these bugs hanging round in the air was a huge selling point for us.”
Riva went on to purchase 3 units in total, 2 x WHA 400 for their larger dining space and 1 x WHA 320 for the private dining room. They reassured customers upon seating them that the air they were breathing was safe and free from harmful particles, which went a long way to creating instilling confidence and creating loyal customers that returned time and time again.
